Il a choisi l’agriculture, pari réussi!

Sorti du lycée en 2002, Roland 37 ans décide de se lancer dans l’agriculture. Fort de la formation spéciale sur l’auto-emploi qu’il a suivi et sure de ses capacités physiques, il prend pour défit de réussir dans l’agriculture et ainsi de donner tord à ses parents.

Il débute par la location des terres, mais aujourd’hui il possède 13 hectares sur lesquels il produit du palmier à huile pour une récolte annuelle de 800 tonnes, soit plus de 126 000 litres d’huile rouge. Dans sa ferme à Sakété, a environ 70 km au nord-est de Cotonou, il emploie plus de 40 hommes et femmes.

Roland est aujourd’hui un homme accompli et comblé. Il n’envie pas ses anciens camarades du lycée qui sont des fonctionnaires d’État. Il vit une vie paisible avec sa famille, grâce à la prise de risque dans l’entrepreneuriat.
