How to List Your First Product on Jangolo: A Step-by-Step Guide
Whether you’re a farmer, processor, or agribusiness owner, getting your products in front of buyers is one of the most important steps toward growing your business. Jangolo — Africa’s agribusiness platform — makes this process straightforward with a clean, purpose-built dashboard for managing and publishing your products online. In this guide, we’ll walk you through exactly how to navigate Jangolo and create your first product listing.
What is Jangolo?
Jangolo is an agribusiness ecosystem designed specifically for Africa. Its tagline says it well: “Connect, trade, and grow.” The platform serves two main audiences — agribusinesses that want to sell, source, and manage their operations, and consumers who want to find and buy local products. With over 200,000 members, 7,000+ referenced companies, and 5,000+ products, it is one of the continent’s most active agricultural trade networks.
Step 1: Go to the Jangolo homepage
Open your browser and navigate to www.jangolo.cm. You’ll land on a hero section featuring a smiling farmer on a phone, with the headline “Africa’s agribusiness platform” and the tagline “Connect, trade, and grow.” The homepage is clean and purpose-driven, with a navigation bar at the top containing links to Products, Companies, Trading, Recipes, and Services.
Scroll down slightly and you’ll see two main user category cards: one for Agribusinesses and one for Consumers.
Step 2: Click on the Agribusiness card
Locate the “Agribusiness” card on the left side. It is labeled “FOR AGRIBUSINESSES” with the number “01” in the corner, and features the heading “Agribusiness.” in green italic text along with the description “Sell, source, and grow your agribusiness in one place.” Click the green “Grow my business” button inside this card.
Step 3: Find the Business section
You’ll be taken to the Agribusiness solutions page, which is organized into four phases: Orient, Signal, Act, and Protect. Scroll down to the “III · ACT — Buy, sell, manage, and build” section. Here you’ll find several tools including Jangolo Trade, Cooperatives, and the one you need: Business (labeled “07”). The Business card reads: “Run your business from one dashboard: sales, inventory, and operations.” Click “Manage my business” to proceed.
Step 4: Sign in to your account
If you are not already logged in, you will be redirected to a sign-in page. The page has a split-screen design — the left side features a green leafy background with the text “Where Africa’s agribusiness connects & grows,” while the right side presents a white sign-in form with the heading “Welcome back.”
Enter your registered email address and password in the form fields, then click the green “Sign in” button. Once authenticated, you’ll arrive at your business dashboard.
Step 5: Navigate to My Products
Once inside your dashboard, look at the left-hand sidebar. You’ll see navigation icons for different sections of your business account, including Brands, Products, Shop, Sourcing, and Partner. Click on “Products” in the sidebar. The breadcrumb trail at the top of the page will confirm your location: Home / Agribusiness / Products.
The “My Products” page displays all your existing listings. Each product card shows the product image, name, price in CFA, number of points of sale, total views, and its publication status (e.g., “PUBLISHED”).
Step 6: Create a new product
To add a new product, click the green “+” button at the top of the My Products page. This opens the “Ajouter un produit” (Add a product) modal form. Fill in the following fields:
- Name — Enter the name of your product (e.g., “Orange Juice” or “Jus d’orange”).
- Brand — Select the brand associated with this product from the dropdown menu. If you have set up a brand under your account, it will appear here.
- Category — Choose the appropriate product category. This helps buyers find your product through search and filters.
- Description — Write a clear, informative description. Highlight what makes it unique, how it is produced, and any relevant details for buyers.
- Price (CFA) — Enter your price in CFA francs. Use a competitive, market-aligned price — you can check live market prices on Jangolo to guide you.
- Unit of measure — Select the appropriate unit from the “Mesure” dropdown (e.g., per kilogram, per liter, per unit).
Once all fields are filled in, click the “SAVE” button to save your product. If you change your mind, click “CANCEL” to close the form without saving.
Step 7: Review and publish
After saving, your new product will appear in the My Products list. From there, you can review its details, update its information, and manage its visibility. Products that are live on the platform display a green “PUBLISHED” status badge, along with metrics like the number of points of sale and total views — giving you real-time insight into how your listing is performing.
Tips for a strong product listing
To maximize your reach on Jangolo, keep these best practices in mind. Use a clear, descriptive product name that buyers are likely to search for. Write a description that answers the most common buyer questions: What is the product? How is it processed or packaged? What quantities are available? Set a price that reflects current market conditions — you can use Jangolo’s Market Prices feature to benchmark. And make sure your product is assigned to the right category so it surfaces in the right searches.
